i have been knitting again, working on a scarf of my own design. i am not quite sure how it will turn out – i think the yarns i am using are not alike enough. but it looks kind of cool with the contrasting dark colours anyway.

the other day i found this site]. it has a whole pile of dishcloth patterns. the majority are knitted but some are for crochet. i think knitted dishcloths are the best really – i have a lot that Grandma French made for me when we were first married, and some of them are so beautiful i almost don’t want to use them! so now that i’ve found this site i think i will try my hand at a few different looking ones. i think the round ones look really beautiful. IMO.
