here is my not-so-random thought for the day…
according to this week’s issue of Time, Italy gives it’s athletes a bonus of $157,385 (USD) (equivalent to 130,000 Euros) when they win an individual gold medal. The U.S. gives a bonus of $25,000. Australia gives $7512. Canada… zip, zero, zilch, nada.
call me crazy, that just doesn’t seem quite fair.
