okay, so it’s not quite as white as, say, Oswego NY these days… but there was definitely a good layer of snow!
some highlights of our trip:
- Ikea – need i say more? what’s not to love about Swedish design with international flair, plus cute little candle lanterns (2 of which now grace my home)
- staying with Grandma & Grandpa at their house
- surprising my cousin Melanie at her baby shower – the shower was not a surprise, but me being there was TOTALLY a surprise!!
- Josh blowing out all of Uncle Jon’s birthday candles (he was “helping”!)
- Yorkdale… aaaaah, Yorkdale
- visiting Grammy, Auntie Tracy & 3 great cousins – Josh had the time of his life playing with Ethan, Landon & JJ. We had a big dinner with Grandpa French, Grandpa John & Grandma Joanne, Adam and Lindsay too.
- Tim Hortons, Swiss Chalet & Jack Astors – all of which must be experienced, you just can’t understand it otherwise 🙂
- visiting my Grandpa Ron & Lorraine (my birthmom) in Milford, part of beautiful Prince Edward County. That area is truly beautiful, all 4 seasons.
- the Glenora Ferry – big excitement for a certain little boy as we took the short trip across to the “mainland” on our way home
We had a good time visiting our many family members, although the visits all seemed a little too short as usual! And it’s good to be home again, back in our own beds. Josh found that he had become a big boy while he was away – he returned to find that his crib had moved to the basement, and in it’s place was a “big boy” toddler bed. He seems to be happy about this arrangement! We’ll see how the transition goes over the next few weeks.
