i just want to say upfront that i am a city girl. i was born in the city (well, the suburbs if you wanna be technical). i grew up in the city, and i just love all things city. generally, that does not include country music. however, lately i have found myself turning on CMT more often, and i actually can sing some country songs by heart now.

this is all because of Josh. i have no idea how, but my son appears to be a good ol’ boy in the making. not long ago he heard Kenny Chesney’s “Living in Fast Forward” and got so excited, he was clapping and dancing and generally having a great time. same with a few other country artists… and when he heard “Jackson” from the Walk the Line soundtrack, he was absolutely beside himself with joy. and this just goes on and on!

i guess there is no accounting for the musical tastes of a 17 month old. either that or our next footwear purchase is cowboy boots.
