Ok, so who’s ready for the NFL playoffs? This guy is!! (I’m the only one in the family who follows the NFL until the Super Bowl, so that’s something, right???)
Houston Texans vs Oakland Raiders: I don’t believe in karma, but the Raiders are the closest thing to it. The “we’re not relevant Raiders” have finally put together a great season only to see the loss of their #1 (and #2) QB to injury. It’s good to see the Raiders as relevant, but the injuries have reduced them to a byline in the playoff storybook. The interesting issue with this game is that they are facing the Texans who may have to put Brock Osweiler in as quarterback. Yes, that Osweiler who may turn out to be the biggest bust of the offseason signing season. Because of that, I think the Raiders will advance. Raiders 20, Texans, 7
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Miami Dophins: Yes, the Dolphins played a great game against the Steelers earlier this year. But this is a drastically different Steelers team since that game, and they ar playing extremely well heading into the playoffs. This will not be close. Steelers 35, Dolphins 14
Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants: I’m a Giants fan so take this one with a grain of salt. The Packers have been playing great football, and Aaron Rodgers has been proving why he’s a 1st ballot hall of fame QB these past 6 weeks. But the Giants have been doing just enough to win, and the defense has been leading the way. Spagnolo has recaptured his mojo and I believe Eli + Beckham Jr. are ready for a breakout on offense. Giants 27, Packers 14
Seattle Seahawks vs Detroit Lions: I like the Lions, and Stafford has shown a lot of moxy with his inspiring command of the offense in spite of his injured finger. But this is the Seahawks. At home. Detroit is a decent team but they won’t overcome the 12th man. Seahawks 28, Detroit 7.
Question: Who do you think will advance in the first round of the NFL playoffs?
