The tree, she is gone

this is the Norway Maple that was doomed to come down yesterday - better to have it taken down then to wait for it to fall on the house! however, i have to say i do kind of feel sad, it was kind of beautiful. i have no idea how many feet tall this thing was - and the canopy of branches was enormous - it went basically from one end of our house to the other, and out over the street. however, every time we have an ice storm, limbs fall out of it; also, it was g the bucket truck
the chipper that thing made short work of some pretty massive limbs and branches
i told Josh that watching this would be better than a tv show - he agreed that i was right :)
